Chatuge Lake is a beautiful reservoir located in the north Georgia mountains, straddling the border between Georgia and North Carolina. The lake is formed by the Chatuge Dam, which was completed in 1942 and constructed by the Tennessee Valley Authority. The lake stretches over 7,000 acres and has over 130 miles of shoreline. It offers a variety of recreational activities including boating, swimming, fishing, camping, and hiking. Visitors can also enjoy scenic drives and take in the stunning mountain views.
